Lisa Bairos, Director and Special Education Teacher
My family and I moved to Slidell from Cambridge, England for the start of the 2020-21 school year where I served as the Kindergarten 1 teacher. I have spent nineteen years in education with a variety of experiences that includes special education, bilingual education, Catholic education and teaching abroad at an international school and in the United Kingdom. I feel blessed to have been asked to take on the role as Director and Lead Teacher for the Exceptional Learners Program which we are designing to meet the educational, developmental, social and spiritual needs of students with developmental disabilities. I possess a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
Rachel Megison, Interventionist
I am excited to take on new responsibilities this year as an Interventionist Teacher for the Exceptional Learners Program. My experience in Catholic school from Kindergarten to eighth grade was very influential in forming my faith. I love being a part of this experience with your children. This will be my fifth year at Our Lady of Lourdes where I have served as a PreK-4 aide and a PreK-4 teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies and a Master of Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi.
