The purpose of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic School is twofold. First, as the largest ministry of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the purpose of the school is to participate in the evangelization efforts of the parish by sharing the gospel message of Jesus Christ through faith formation made possible by liturgical participation, implementation of a standards-based Religion curriculum and enrichment programs (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Catholic Traditions Program, Para-liturgical Periods of Instruction) and Christian service opportunities. Second, the purpose of the school is to provide a quality standards-based education designed to prepare students academically, socially, emotionally and physically for the rigors of high school. These two purposes, when combined, will ensure students are prepared to be productive members of society from an intellectual and spiritual perspective (reason grounded in faith). The ancillary content listed below will provide further insight into how the school embodies its purpose through its program offerings and expectations for students.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, as a ministry of the Church parish, is fully accredited to offer academic excellence and formation in the Gospel values in an atmosphere of prayer and community service. Our goal is to prepare students intellectually, spiritually, morally and emotionally to become productive citizens of the Church and the world.
